3 Ways American Media Resembles Communist Media

President Donald Trump held a press conference on Thanksgiving Day. The media pressured him about whether he would leave the White House. This scene is reminiscent of the Cultural Revolution in China and how the media attacked Liu Shaoqi.

First, attack an opposing leader.

When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) decided to get rid of him, the media attacked Liu, the Chinese leader from 1959 to 1968. Within a few days, the communists removed him from office, abused him, he died alone in prison. They did not bother to inform his family of his death. He was an anonymous body at the crematorium. Parades celebrating his downfall were held nationwide.

The communist state-run media is the only news source in China. The Chinese are told that only the communist party can take care of them. Socialism is the only correct path for a happy human life. The communist media machine poisons minds and plagues society.

The communist media do not inform. They hide the truth and report the communist propaganda to control the people.

By pushing an ideology against cultural heritage, they brainwash an entire country so that there is no standard of right and wrong. They set up the opposite standard: Evil is right and good is wrong.

The communist media does not want to foster mutual understanding. They sow division. The communists destroy society by driving people into creating hatred and leading people to fight.

Because of communist propaganda, peasants killed landlords, workers killed business owners, and people killed each other. Under communism, 80 million Chinese were killed, more than the total number of deaths in the two world wars combined.

Second, propaganda disguised as political correctness.

Communist propaganda can be hard to spot because it disguises its evil intentions with political correctness. The communists claim that they are “serving people,” achieving “equality,” and “helping the poor.”

It sounds like idealism, which is why it has been effective in attracting young people. Before communism took over China, it named itself the “savior” of the people. Once it took power, communist leaders fought for power and enjoyed a comfortable life. The rich became poor, and the poor became poorer.

In the United States, we now see our media acting like those in communist countries.

CNN and The New York Times dress in good intentions. They tell us we have a serious problem with racism. Like the communist media, they claim to be serving the people. However, by pushing this narrative of racism, the mainstream media in the United States are fomenting division. It is no accident that we see young people rioting and burning in our big cities. The media trained them to hate, just as the communists taught the Chinese people to hate.

But in China, the tool used was class struggle. “Racism” in the United States is for our mainstream media what class struggle was in China.

In reporting on America, the mainstream media portray the United States as evil and say we should feel guilty for our power and prosperity. This is how the media in communist countries call on the rich to confess their sins.

The mainstream media tell us America is in decline. This is exactly the propaganda that the Soviet Union and China do. The communist media never stopped calling on America to concede.

On Thanksgiving, the mainstream media pressured Trump to concede. These media outlets never accepted Trump as legitimate.

For instance, according to the Media Research Center, in March through May 2020, Trump’s coverage by ABC, CBS, and NBC was 94 percent negative. Since Trump was elected, America regularly found network coverage that was 90 percent or more negative.

This unanimity of perspective is what one expects out of communist media. It is a propaganda attack.

Third, censor the truth.

As with the political correctness employed by communists, behind this unanimity is a conviction that Trump and conservatives simply have no right to their opinions.

Hundreds or even thousands of people came forward to expose fraud in the 2020 election. Yet, the mainstream media report that there is no definitive evidence of fraud. This is a deliberate censorship of people’s voices.

The nonstop attacks on an opposing leader, the political correctness, the silencing of viewpoints—these are the hallmarks of a communist-style press.

The United States is the envy of the world for our freedom and prosperity. The American media are considered the exemplar of a free press. Media in other countries follow American media and trust them. Do we still have a free press in this country? If America falls, the whole free world falls. Who will win? America or the communists?
